User group email subscription instructions


This listserv is exclusively used for User Group meeting notices and is not used as a
open discussion listserv.  Email traffic will be pleasantly light. 

To Subscribe: (two steps)

1) Send an email to " imailsrv@windowsboston.com " .  Be sure to use the email account
at which you wish to receive mail.

2)  In the text area, type only the exact words " subscribe members [ your regular English name ]"
but without the brackets or quotes.  Please use plain text and not HTML formatting.

sample syntax:  subscribe members Jane Doe

The "Jane Doe" simply helps to identify the user.  It does not need to reflect your email address.
The server will detect the email address used to originate the message and will automatically
subscribe that email address to the mailing list.

You will receive a confirmation by email.

To Unsubscribe (two steps):

1) Send an email to " imailsrv@windowsboston.com " .  Be sure to use the email account
at which you wish NOT to receive any more email notices.

2)  In the text area, type only the exact words " unsubscribe members ".  You do not need to add your
literal "Jane Doe" English name as above.  Please use plain text and not HTML formatting.

sample syntax:  unsubscribe members

You will receive a confirmation by email.
